COVID 19 Update

After a two-month shut down our clinic is now open and working towards our new normal.  We have expanded our office, allowing us a great opportunity to practice social distancing while continuing to serve as many patients as possible.  Dr. Taves will now be working out of the ground floor office and Dr. Loland will continue in the upstairs space.  We are still working as a team and patient choice will always be respected.

With the rapidly evolving corona virus pandemic your health and safety is out primary concern.  We have always been very diligent about infection control but with the new crisis we are increasing our protocols to meet and exceed the recommendations set out by our public health authorities.  These include:

- Increased screening before and at appointment time.  If you are sick, please stay home.

- Mandatory alcohol hand washing station at office entry.

- Minimize time in waiting area

- Limit number of extra people in the office, please come alone when possible. If this is not possible please have extra people wait in the car.  No extra people will be allowed in the clinical areas except parent of young children if absolutely necessary.

-We will be booking extra time to allow for an increased level of disinfection in the clinical areas between appointments.

-Our staff will, when necessary, be wearing extra personal protective equipment to include masks, gowns, face shields, etc.

-Priority will be given urgent dental needs and we will transition to doing more preventative care as time goes on

-Higher risk patients such as older individuals and those with other health concerns will be seen first thing in the morning where possible.  If you are concerned please let us know and we will discuss postponement of treatment or special arrangements.

-We have increased air flow/filtration in the office to help with removal of aerosols.

This is a rapidly changing situation and we will continue to adapt as best we can, please call anytime with questions or concerns.
